Fawaz AlSahan is the Chairman of Saudi Aramco Instrumentation Standards Committee, IIOT Leader and the President of ISA Saudi Arabia section. Fawaz is a voting member of multiple technical committees of ISO, IOGP, UL and SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization). Fawaz has more than 24 years of experience in the Instrumentation, Automation and Digitalization (design, innovation, digital transformation, standards development, technical support and maintenance support). Fawaz is a Certified Engineering Consultant (SCE) and a Certified Automation Professional (CAP). Fawaz received many national, regional and international awards, including “King Salman Award for Inventors and Gifted” and “The International Society of Automation Excellence in Technical Innovation Award”. Fawaz has five granted patents, authored and co-authored many handbooks and papers published in renowned magazines and journals. Fawaz participated in many technical conferences (including keynote and guest speaker) and he teaches several process control and instrumentation courses in Saudi Aramco.

Chris commenced his career in the Marine field in 1979 when he joined the British Royal Navy as an Electro-Mechanical Technician. Following a 12-year career in the Navy which encompassed both shore-based and sea-going assignments, he joined Cummins Engines holding the position of marine applications manager. During his 10 years with Cummins Engines Chris oversaw the management of marine applications in Russia, Portugal, Poland & Italy. In 2001 Chris moved into a superintendent’s position within the organization of a well know Greek shipping magnet during which time he attended both Fleet supervisions and new building projects in Japan, Korea & China. Finally, in 2006, Chris furthered his career with Bureau Veritas China taking the position of New Construction Manager for Greater China. After 14 years at the helm of the new construction business for Bureau Veritas China, he was appointed in 2020 to the position of CEO for both BV UAE & KSA. Chris holds a Master’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering & Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Marine Surveying.

Capt. Deepak Singh is a Master Mariner by qualification. After acquiring sailing experience on ocean going cargo vessels and on offshore support vessels serving the offshore Oil and Gas industry, he quit sailing in 2007. Since 2007 he has been working in the UAE as Marine Consultant/Principal Surveyor with leading MWS Firms like LOC, Noble Denton and DNVGL. Since 2015 he joined the Aries group as Chief Operating Officer for the Survey division. He has been involved in several heavy lift loadouts and transportations over the last 15 years with the heaviest being the 13,500 MTs+ MOPU. He has also approved several high value oceans to wages of MODUs and FPSOs. He is also an accredited inspector with the OVID program from OCIMF.

Chris joined ABS in London in 2008 as part of ABS’s Graduate Surveyor program. After training rotations in Houston, Chris went on to spend 6 years in South Korea focusing on MODU New Construction projects. Chris then spent 3 years in Japan, after which he became the Principal Surveyor-in-Charge of ABS’s Aberdeen Operations. After a short spell in Houston working on Strategic Projects, Chris moved to his current role of Director of Business Development (Middle East and Africa) in February 2020; based in Dubai. Chris has a Bachelors in Marine Technology from the University of Plymouth, a Masters in Project Management specializing in Oil and Gas from the University of Liverpool, and has also completed Post Graduate courses in Strategic Operations Management and Artificial Intelligence with the University of Copenhagen and the University of Oxford, respectively. Chris is married with twin 4-year old sons and enjoys anything that involves the ocean.

Ahmed Alowa received his AS degree in Non-destructive Testing Evaluation and Engineering from Jubail Industrial College, KSA in 2018. As an advanced NDT inspector at Durat Aljubail Co, KSA, he was part of and led several projects in the Oil & Gas, and Aviation industries. These projects were delivered for several clients in KSA from 2018 to 2021. Afterwards, he joined Mohammed & Abdul Rahman Al-Othman Co, KSA, and now he deals with advanced NDT products as a sales & technical support representative. In addition to being PCN certified in PAUT, and ACFM, he has a strong understanding of advanced NDT methods such as ECA, PECA, TECA and MFL

Samir Souiai is the ABS Area Operations Manager for the Middle East based in Saudi Arabia. With over twenty years of experience, he is overseeing Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Egypt operations.
Samir holds First Lieutenant Engineer from Tunisia Merchant Marine Academy and Bachelor of Marine Engineering from Antwerp Maritime Academy. Before joining ABS, Samir Sailed with EXMAR Shipmanagement vessel and LNG regassification vessels.
Samir joined ABS in 2007, spent time in New Construction projects in Korea and later transferred to UAE where he was involved in Self -Elevating Units new construction.
